Recent technological advances in flow cytometry instrumentation provide the basis for high-dimensionality and high-throughput biological experimentation in a heterogeneous cellular context. However, without advances in scalable computational algorithms that break free from traditional population gating methods, much of the information that is buried in the results of these experiments will remain buried. Cira’s technologies add a new dimension to flow cytometry’s traditionally purely hypothesis-driven mode; that of discovery, or hypothesis-generating research.
